The Office of the Lottery revealed that for the period August 1 and 16, 2021, the prizes were issued as usual, while for the period September 1, 2021, dealers must register online to request for the lottery to be sold. This should not have any effect on regular players.
Announcement of the lottery committee revealed guidelines for selling lottery for 1 and 16 August 2021. Distribute and issue prizes as usual. For the period on September 1, 2021, tickets for dealers will be sold through the website www.glo.or.th from July 28 – 1 August 2021 and dealers must pay the lottery fee within 11 – 18 August 2021. This was stated by Thanawat Phonwichai, Director and Spokesperson of the Government Lottery Committee.
The sale of the lottery on August 1, 2021 there will be regular prizes, under government measures Ministry of Health and the order of Nonthaburi Province strictly, including limiting the number of workers in the prize room and arrangement of seating locations at least 1 meter apart, arrangement of barriers between people, temperature screening points for all participants. All participants must wash hands with alcohol gel. It is also required to wear a mask at all times.
In the prize room the equipment for the award will be cleaned every 30 minutes, paying special attention to the points that are frequently touched, during the period on August 16, 2021. But if in the future the government introduces new measures, the Government Lottery Board will meet again in order to determine the appropriate course of action
For the period on September 1, 2021, the Lottery Office will ask dealers both in the central region and juristic persons to request lottery tickets to be sold through the website www.glo.or.th from 28 July – 1 August 2021. The dealers must pay lottery fees within 11-18 August 2021 if requested. Failure to pay for the lottery within the said period will terminate the contract and lead to disqualification from being a distributor. As each area has different distribution restrictions, sales may not go as expected. And while selling lotteries, all dealers must follow the measures prescribed by the Ministry of Public Health, strictly observe social distancing, wear face shields and masks, wash hands with alcohol, wear gloves when selling lottery tickets and maintain a distance between people of 1 – 2 meters, etc. Such practices will benefit buyers, sellers and society at large, this will help control the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and make the sale of lotteries continue to operate as normal.
